A structured, safe path to embodiment.
The safety, competence, and confidence to work with the body. Grounded in assessment and backed by science.
Enrol in Safe EmbodimentThe foundation of the InCorr Method
You know the moment.
You ask a client to notice a sensation, and something floods. You spend the rest of the session bringing them back.
You reach for an embodiment exercise because it usually helps, and you hope it lands. It is a good guess. It is still a guess.
A client cannot find the feeling in their body, and a quiet shame arrives. They think they are failing. You wonder if you caused it.
You leave sessions depleted. So do they. The work asked more of the body than the body could give that day.
None of this is a failure of care. It is a gap in the map.
Embodiment is usually taught as technique. Rarely as assessment.
You were shown what to do with the body. You were not shown how to know whether this client, in this moment, has the capacity to do it safely.
So the decision falls to intuition. Intuition is real skill. It is also invisible, hard to teach, and impossible to lean on when you are tired.
Safe Embodiment gives your intuition a structure to stand on.
Assess capacity first. Then match the intervention.
Every clinical decision in this course begins with one question: where is this client on the continuum right now, and am I working within that capacity, or beyond it?
That continuum has a name. It is the spine of everything you will learn.
The SAPS continuum · you always know where your client is before you move
Capacity is not a feeling you guess at. It has parts you can read.
Safe Embodiment breaks readiness into four capacities. Each one is observable. Each one tells you something specific about what this client can hold today.
Interoceptive capacity
How clearly a client can detect, locate, and describe what is happening inside the body.
Nervous-system safety
Whether the autonomic system is regulated enough to approach material, or braced against it.
Relational safety
Whether the relationship between you can hold what the work is about to ask of it.
Internal unity
Whether the client can stay one, connected self while feeling, rather than splitting away from it.
Structured assessment. And tools that fit the assessment.
Each tool tells you where a client is. Each one points to the response that fits. You stop guessing which intervention to reach for. You start reading which one the client can hold.
The Embodiment Scale
Where a client sits between full embodiment and disembodiment, so you know the ground you are standing on before you begin.
The Disembodiment Scale and NSA Spectrum
How to recognise tonic immobility, collapse, and depersonalisation, and read the state a client is genuinely in.
The Unity Assessment
Whether a client can stay connected to a single, continuous self while feeling, or is fragmenting away from it.
The six interoceptive facets
Attention, detection, magnitude, discrimination, accuracy, and sensitivity. Interoception as a precise instrument, not a blunt one.
Five modules, built in the order the work happens.
Each module resolves one of the fears you started with. Not with reassurance. With capability.
Embodiment: An Understanding
What embodiment actually is, what you are asking a client to do when you invite it, and how to see it before you ever work with it.
Embodiment Tools that Deepen into Trauma
How to access trauma through the body without forcing it. Interoception as the instrument that lets you go deep, slowly, and on purpose.
The Wisdom of Dis-embodiment
Why a client cannot feel, and why that is protection, not failure. This is the module that ends the shame, for them and for you.
Safety Skills
Risk assessment, resourcing, co-regulation, and the safety return. How to bring a nervous system back, every time, so you never leave a client open.
Building Unity Skills
Building interoceptive capacity in your client, and in yourself. The underlying skill that makes every other tool possible.
The assessment tools in practice
Where the scales stop being theory. You bring the Embodiment Scale, the Disembodiment Scale, the Unity Assessment, and the interoceptive facets together into one assessment-led process, and demonstrate it with a real client. Case-study assessment with developmental feedback, so you leave knowing you can read capacity in the room, not just describe it.
Plus two bonus modules: Negotiation of Self and Negotiation of Pain, drawn directly from the InCorr Method.
For anyone who works with people and cares about doing it safely.
Therapists and counsellors
Who want somatic work on a structured footing, not intuition alone.
Coaches
Working with people at depth, who need to know when the body is out of range.
Somatic practitioners
Breathwork, yoga, and bodywork facilitators who meet trauma and want to hold it well.
You do not need clinical training to begin. You need to be working with people, and to care about doing it safely.
The clinician who built the framework.
Safe Embodiment is structured, in-depth training. Whilst foundational to the InCorr Method, it is plug-and-play for other methodologies.
and founder of the InCorr Method
Shauna Quigley is a person-centred psychotherapist, trainer and founder of the InCorr Method, Interoceptive Core Reconsolidation. Her work focuses on helping therapists and embodied practitioners understand why some clients cannot safely access the emotional and bodily material beneath their story, even when they are insightful, reflective and deeply committed to healing.
Through her own healing process, years of clinical practice, and extensive work with clients and practitioners, Shauna developed the InCorr Method as a framework for understanding the relationship between trauma, interoception, disunity, primary pain and embodied emotional healing.
At the centre of her embodiment work is a simple but often overlooked clinical question: what is the client actually being asked to access when we invite them into the body, and do they have the safety, awareness and capacity to go there?
Her training helps practitioners move beyond vague ideas of embodiment and into a clearer, assessment-led process. It supports therapists to recognise when a client is disunifying from the body, understand what level of embodiment they can safely access, and prepare the conditions needed before deeper therapeutic work begins.
Based in Ireland, Shauna continues to practise, teach and develop the InCorr Method through professional training programmes for therapists, counsellors, coaches and embodied practitioners.
The learning continues long after the last module.
Your place includes six months of live integration and supervision, all facilitated by Shauna. We believe in the power of integrating and supporting your learning. You will not do it alone.
Every fortnight brings two live sessions with Shauna: a 60-minute theory integration session, followed by a 60-minute Q&A and client supervision session.
Four hours each month · Live sessions run for six months
Trusted by the therapists it was built for.
I have done a variety of courses to enhance my therapy skills, but I always felt something was missing. Someone recommended Shauna’s courses to me, and after attending the free session twice, I knew I had to sign up for a course.
However, since starting the foundational course on safe embodiment, it has been so much more than I have ever received in a course before. It contains so much detail and offers frameworks that will help guide therapeutic practice with each individual client.
The depth of understanding is something I have not received before, and I don’t think you will get it somewhere else. I highly recommend it to any practitioners that want to work with embodiment safely and deepen their therapeutic practice.
Why a pre-therapeutic embodiment course? Two reasons.
Safety for the individual who makes the decision to go purposely towards the pain to gain relief, ease and peace. To gain an understanding of self, engaging curiosity to the experience of being human.
Safety for therapists within the work.
These are the first stepping stones to your unique inner connection with self, setting out a specific, focussed methodology whilst identifying the potential blocks within self and the client’s journey.
The journey into the pain starts here.
Shauna’s work is groundbreaking.
After decades of learning the latest ‘groundbreaking therapeutic approaches’, finally we have a robust and cognisant human framework that actually releases trauma at its core… from the inside out.
Everyone needs this. For their clients, for themselves.

Questions therapists ask.
I am not clinically trained. Is this for me?
Yes. The course does not assume clinical training. It does assume you are working with people and want to do embodiment safely. Therapists, coaches, and somatic practitioners all learn the same structure, calibrated to the depth each of them works at.
I already do somatic and embodiment work. Will this be new?
The tools may be familiar. The assessment layer usually is not. Most embodiment training teaches what to do. This teaches how to know whether to do it, with this client, today. That is the piece practitioners tell us they were missing.
What if a client cannot feel anything in their body?
That is Module Three. Disembodiment is treated as protection, not failure, and you learn to read it and work with it rather than push against it. It is often the moment practitioners stop shaming clients without meaning to.
How much time does it take?
You set the pace. The core course material is yours to keep, with lifetime access, so you can return to it whenever you like. The live sessions run for six months from the date of purchase. You can move through it all as quickly or as slowly as you need.
You already have the care. This gives you the map.
Work with the body with structure underneath you, confidence that is earned, and no more guessing at capacity.
